Amp the Fun Factor

Afraid of the dark?  Got a wild imagination?  Ya, I do.  Then amp your fun factor by mountain biking in the middle of nowhere where the wild things hang out.  Get a head lamps or a handle bar lamp and just go for it.  Let your wild imagination run fast and wild!  At any time you think Freddy will jump out of the woods.  For added fun factor, stop, turn off all the lamps
and try riding.

Strangest things you see out there too.  We ran into a single woman with her dog on a trail in the middle of nowhere .  We had to be many kilometers out in the Lynn Canyon Headwaters pitch black in the forest.  I just thought to myself, just say "hi", don't look at her as you might turn into stone.  Inside voice: "Are you nuts lady?  Ya, i guess as nuts as we were mountain biking."

Running with the Bulls

When cycling, you really need to be aware of the bulls on the road.  Decided today was the first day to commute by bike to work.  18km each way.  I chose quite a spectacular day and it felt good riding to and from work.  Although only mid-February, I noticed a lot more cyclist on the road. I also noticed that the days are getting longer.  This morning I road when the sun was rising and tonight, as you can see, the sun was setting.

Goal: 50 commutes to work.  I can do it.
